Account Management

An extension
of your team.
Not a point
of contact.

Every Nexus account comes with two dedicated people: a named Hire Desk Champion for your day-to-day operation, and an Account Manager who owns the strategy, the reviews, and the escalations.

Dedicated  to your account
02 · Your Hire Desk Champion

Someone who knows your account
before you call.

Every Nexus customer is allocated a named Hire Desk specialist. Not a shared desk. Not a call queue. One person who knows your operation, your preferred suppliers, and your requirements — and who manages the detail of every Plant, Equipment & HGV hire on your behalf.

  • i.
Bookings, extensions, and off-hires handled without you chasing. Your Champion coordinates the booking from request to collection — confirming availability, managing delivery schedules, and signing off documentation at both ends.
  • ii.
Delivery and collection conditions verified against the hire record. Pre-delivery inspections, condition reports, and off-hire documentation all captured and filed against your account, giving you clear audit trails across every hire.
  • iii.
Compliance certificates and inspection reports filed automatically. LOLER, Tachograph, LBT, PMI, and MOT documentation tracked in Iris® against each asset. Your Champion monitors expiry dates and chases inspections before certificates lapse.
  • iv.
Damage disputes and invoice queries resolved before they reach your inbox. Cases validated against supplier SLAs and challenged on your behalf where overcharging or unsubstantiated damage is flagged.
03 · Your Account Manager

Strategic oversight.
Personal accountability.

Your Account Manager sits above the hire desk and is your senior point of contact for everything beyond the booking. They handle escalations, manage the supplier relationships behind your account, and are personally accountable for the standard of service you receive.

They attend regular reviews armed with a full Iris® picture of your hire activity — spend, utilisation, compliance status, damage, fines, and KPI performance. Not just a report. A conversation that drives action.

  • i.
Monthly reviews with live Iris® data on the agenda. Spend, utilisation, compliance, damage, fines, and KPI performance reviewed every month. Recommendations on savings and improvement, not just a summary of the previous month.
  • ii.
Direct point of contact for anything that needs senior attention. Your Account Manager picks it up, owns it, and sees it through.
  • iii.
Supplier performance, owned by us. Our dedicated Supply Chain team holds every supply partner to their SLA commitments on your behalf. Where standards slip, we challenge. Where change is needed, we manage it.
  • iv.
On-site when the work demands it. For mobilisations, project starts, and complex multi-site programmes, your Account Manager attends in person — not a phone-in, not a debrief after the fact.
04 · Account Intelligence

The intelligence behind
every review.

Your Account Manager does not just present data. They interpret it. Every review includes recommendations on cost savings, utilisation improvements, service performance, and emissions data by asset, supplier, and site — so you make better decisions next month, not just a record of the last one.

05 · On the Ground

Present when the project
needs it most.

For complex mobilisations, project starts, or multi-site programmes, your Account Manager is there in person — not on the end of a phone while you're standing in a field.

They attend site during mobilisation, working alongside your team to coordinate delivery schedules, manage multi-supplier bookings, and make sure every asset lands as it should. When the operation spans multiple locations, your Account Manager owns the coordination, not just the relationship.

  • i.
Mobilisation attendance. On-site for major starts — reviewing delivery schedules, confirming handover documentation, and making sure the first day of hire runs cleanly.
  • ii.
Multi-site coordination. A single point of ownership across every location. Your Account Manager holds the supplier relationships and the booking schedule, so your operations team doesn't have to bridge the gap.
  • iii.
On-site reviews where issues need it. On-site support when it matters. When a situation needs a face-to-face rather than a phone call, your Account Manager is there.
06 · One Team

Your Champion.
Your Account Manager.
One resource.

Hire Desk Champion

Your daily operational contact

Manages the bookings, compliance, invoices, and queries that make up the day-to-day detail of your account. On the end of the phone, email, and live chat — and knows your operation before you explain it.

Owns
  • Booking coordination and supplier management
  • Compliance and inspection documentation
  • Invoice validation and dispute resolution
  • Day-to-day queries and hire changes
Account Manager

Your strategic relationship owner

Leads the monthly reviews, manages escalations, and holds the supplier relationships that keep your account performing. Present on-site when the work demands it — not just when it's convenient.

Owns
  • Monthly Iris® account reviews
  • Escalation management and resolution
  • Supplier relationship and SLA oversight
  • On-site presence for mobilisations

Between them, they cover every aspect of your hire operation — from the moment a booking lands to the monthly review. They know your business and your requirements. They are an extension of your team, not a point of contact.

07 · What We Commit To

Four commitments.
Not aspirations.

What an extension of your team actually means in practice — expressed as commitments, not promises.

01

Named contacts from day one

You are introduced to your Hire Desk Champion and Account Manager at the start of the relationship. They know your operation before the first hire lands — not after you've had to explain it three times to different people.

02

Monthly reviews with live data

Every review is structured around your live Iris® account data. Spend, utilisation, compliance, damage, and fines reviewed and acted on, every month — with recommendations, not just summaries.

03

A clear escalation path

When something needs senior attention, your Account Manager responds directly. Not a call centre, not a ticketing system. A named person who knows the full context and has the authority to act.

04

On-site when it counts

For mobilisations, project starts, and multi-site operations, your Account Manager attends in person — coordinating the bookings, the suppliers, and the delivery schedule on the ground, not by phone.

07 · Talk to the Desk
