Rental Chaos Controlled at the Commercial Vehicle Show 2026
The Commercial Vehicle Show at the NEC in Birmingham is the UK’s premier event for road freight, transport, distribution, and logistics. This year, Nexus Rental attended with our biggest stand to date and came away with some genuinely encouraging results.
About the show
The annual CV Show is the largest gathering of commercial vehicle manufacturers, dealers, distributors, and suppliers in the UK. Senior decision-makers from across the industry attend to see the latest innovations in vehicles, trailers, equipment, and technology. It is one of the most important dates in the commercial fleet calendar.
Why we were there
Team members from Sales, Account Management and Supply Chain attended this year with two clear goals: to showcase how our technology is shaping the future of vehicle rental, and to strengthen relationships with existing suppliers and customers. With live demos of Iris® running throughout the show, visitors were able to see the platform in action and understand first-hand what it means for how hire is managed.
Something a little different
This year we added something new to the stand in the form of a Nexus-branded Whack-a-Mole game, named “Are You Playing Rental Chaos?”. The game proved a genuine hit with visitors and served as a natural icebreaker for the team, turning a moment of fun into real conversations about the challenges Nexus helps businesses solve. Sometimes the best way into a meaningful discussion is an unexpected one.

The outcome
The show generated some of the most encouraging results we have seen from a trade event. New opportunities were identified, existing relationships were strengthened, and the Nexus brand made a strong impression on one of the industry’s biggest stages.
“From meaningful conversations to live demos of Iris® in action, this year’s Commercial Vehicle Show has been our most successful yet. Our stand, our biggest to date, made a strong impression, and the team identified some really encouraging new opportunities, reinforcing our visibility and leadership in the market. The real challenge now lies in swiftly turning these opportunities into revenue.”
Stuart Miles, Chief Revenue Officer
We look forward to building on the momentum from Birmingham and to seeing what this year’s conversations lead to.
