Damage Claims Handler

Our Driver Services department are looking for a Damage Claims Handler to process vehicle damage claims effectively and efficiently, liaise between customer and supplier to minimise damage disputes ensuring cases are settled within agreed SLA’s.

Job Description

Key responsibilities include:

  • Updating and processing damage cases on IRIS
  • Compiling Damage packs for customers
  • Checking necessary documentation is present & correct
  • Reviewing damage claims for fairness/ accuracy
  • Chasing customers/supplier for supporting docs.
  • Escalating cases at risk of exceeding SLA guidelines to the Team Leader
  • Liaising with internal & external customers/supplier via phone & e-mail.
  • Negotiating supplier cost reductions where necessary
  • Clearly communicating customer responsibilities when submitting damage packs.
  • Assist the department in reducing damage debt.
  • Maximise all lines of communication, i.e calls in the first instance.
  • Assist the department in achieving set goals.
  • Maximinse the full use of Thatcham and any other tools to support the validation/cost of claims.
  • Adhere to the Damage CC and Dispute Process.
