The firm has been shortlisted for the Scale-up Business of the Year Award at the Lloyd’s Bank awards, after over a thousand registrations were meticulously assessed against each category’s criteria. The awards, now in their 17th year, have a long-standing history of celebrating the best of British business. Entries opened earlier this year when The Lloyds Bank National Business Awards opened the London Stock Exchange. Called the “Oscars of great British business” by Former Prime Minister David Cameron, the awards recognise companies who are driving exceptional growth across the country.

Sarah Austin, Brand Director of The Lloyds Bank National Business Awards explained, “All entries faced a rigorous judging process, which is why the awards are an accolade to true, world-class achievements, offering businesses the credibility and encouragement to continue in their ambitious success. Due to the high level of competition witnessed this year, all finalists should feel incredibly proud.”

The finalists must now make their presentations to a panel of judges and leading business luminaries, after which the winners will be revealed on the 13th of November at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London.

Nexus has also been shortlisted in the Rental Company of the Year Award category at the BusinessCar Awards. The award ceremony is hosted by the UK’s biggest fleet publication, with a circulation that targets close to 19,000 fleet decision-makers.

Designed to recognise the fleets, suppliers and manufacturers that demonstrate outstanding customer service and innovative products, the awards are judged by respected industry experts including well-known road testers, fleet managers and representatives from industry bodies. Plus there are two reader-voted awards: new company car of the year and manufacturer of the year, which will be open for voting next week with the winners announced on the night alongside the other awards.

After becoming a finalist in 2017, Nexus will be competing again this year against three other companies to gain the Rental Company of the Year accolade. Winners will be announced on Thursday 13th September at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London.
